Heritage Open Day – Everyday Histories on the Medway Campus

You are invited to attend our Heritage Open Day: Everyday Histories

Wednesday 16 September 2026, 17:30-19:30 on the Medway Campus

Step back in time to 1903 to see what it was like and discover the secrets of Medway Campus.

This is your chance to uncover the history of this stunning site in Chatham and explore restricted parts of the university campus.

During the visit you can…

• Join us in our talk to discover the history of the Medway Campus and its significance in the Medway region. Learn how the site has transformed over the years and about the royal visitors it has received.
• View our Past in Pictures Gallery.
• Explore daily working life through the ages on a campus tour.
• Step back in time in the Drill Hall Library to view the exhibits from the Drill Shed and the Royal Naval Association memorial.
• Share facts and stories with staff and visitors over light refreshments.

For one day only these buildings will be open to the public, so book now for your unique opportunity to explore and celebrate over 120 years of Medway heritage.

Light refreshments are provided and the event is free to attend but we recommend booking your place via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/medway-talks-universities-at-medway-open-lecture-series-2025-26-tickets-1916676253269?aff=oddtdtcreator
