Dig Deep at Fort Amherst

This is an opportunity to join Community Archaeologist, Andrew Mayfield, to uncover hidden military heritage at the Spur Battery, Fort Amherst.  This area was once used for troop encampments,  siege warfare training and military punishment and is due to be transformed into an open air amphitheatre for outdoor performances.

The digging sessions are free to attend and take place on the following dates:

13th, 14th, 16th to 18th, 20th, 21st, 23rd to 25th, 27th and 28th October from 10 am to midday and from 1 pm to 3 pm.
