Consultation to re-draw Ward Boundaries in Medway
The political map of Medway is set to change with the Local Government Boundary Commission for England asking residents and organisations for their views to establish new Ward boundaries across Medway.
The first part of the consultation to re-draw the Ward boundaries is now open and closes on the 2nd March 2020. The Commission has also announced that Medway Council should have 59 Councillors in future – 4 more than they have currently. The aim of the electoral review is to recommend ward boundaries so that each Councillor represents approx. the same number of voters.
From the 6th June to 10th August 2020 there will be a consultation on the draft recommendations and on the 3rd November 2020 the final recommendations will be published.
