Chatham Marina – Annual Lock Maintenance – Pedestrian Access Closed

As part of the annual shut down MDL are required to check the underside of the bridge involving more in-depth checks this year and this means that the bridge will need to be kept in the raised position for long periods over two days.  MDL are aiming to do this on the 8th and 9th January between the hours of 1000 and 1600.  If the work is completed earlier then the bridge will of course be lowered.

As the pedestrian route will also be out of use there will be no access over the lock at all during these times.
