Unique barrier-free experience on the water with Wetwheels South East

Wetwheels South East will be visiting Chatham Maritime from 9th to 11th May offering trips on the River Medway and to the Maunsell Forts.

As a result of a cancellation 4 places are now available (including 2 wheelchair spaces) on Saturday 10th May leaving Chatham Maritime at 10.30 am for an experience along the River Medway.

Setting sail from Chatham Maritime marina, you’ll depart through the lock out onto the River Medway. Firstly you’ll  head up river to view The Historic Dockyard from the water, before turning around and heading back out towards the estuary.

You’ll pass Upnor Castle, a rare example of an Elizabethan artillery fort.  You’ll then proceed further down river, passing Hoo Island and Darnet Ness entering the Estuary where the boat will pick up some speed before returning to the marina to end the  adventure.

This experience is an hour and half to two hours.  A small fee of £5 will secure your place on this maritime adventure.

Please email info@wetwheelssoutheast.co.uk if you are interested in joining this experience.
