The £120 million scheme is the first of its kind in the UK, aimed at expanding higher education access for all, including those without traditional qualifications. Partners prioritize high teaching and support standards for 21st-century students.

The shared campus serves as an economic, social, and cultural hub for the Medway region, driving renewed prosperity.

Home to the successful Medway School of Pharmacy, established in 2004 by the Universities of Kent and Greenwich, it has received prestigious recognition from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.

Here is the University of Greenwich Medway Guide for 2019.

Student Hub

In 2015, Greenwich and Kent Universities announced plans for a new student union building at the Medway Campus, with construction starting in August. The building, previously a swimming pool, will feature a vibrant social space, an Advice Centre, GK Unions offices, and bookable activity areas, based on student feedback, and is expected to open in Autumn 2016. Students voted on the name, and the facility will be called the Student Hub, with the bar/café named the Deep End.

Construction by Cardy Construction continued until July 2016 when the company entered administration, impacting the project timeline.

The Student Hub had a soft opening on January 16, 2017, spanning two levels with a café, bar, meeting spaces, a big screen for movies, and flatscreen TVs for Sky Sports. An official opening is scheduled for March.

The Student Hub will offer various on and off-campus activities, including film screenings and workshops. For more information, contact the Give it a Go team or visit GK Unions.
