
Deborah is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering at the University of Greenwich (Medway Campus). She was a Project Director with Mott MacDonald before entering academia and now teaches Management, Communications, Civil Engineering Construction, Highway Design and Contract Administration.
Deborah is a Chartered Engineer with 25 years experience with a degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Road Safety Engineering. She is a Fellow of the CIHT, a professional reviewer and sits on the CIHT’s Road Safety and Engineering Professional Standards Panel.
She has recently been invited to join the Engineering Council’s Steering Group looking at the role and perception of Incorporated Engineers within the industry. Deborah is a STEM ambassador and is passionate about encouraging young people to become professional engineers.
In October 2019 Deborah was appointed Vice Chairman of Chatham Maritime Trust.
