St. Mary’s Island History Group Meeting – Monday 17th September

St. Mary’s Island History Group are scheduled to meet on Monday 17th September at 7.30 pm at St. Mary’s Island Community Centre, Island Way West, ME3 3EP.  Visitors are welcome at a cost of £2.

Annual subscriptions to the Group remain the same at £10 but they are now asking for £1 per person for refreshments to help balance the books so to speak.

Their guest speaker for this meeting will be Peter Haddock who will be armed with a wealth of Chatham Dockyard stories.  He was a Dockyard Police Officer and dog handler during the 1960s.

The Group has an interesting new tale to tell of a local ship to share with members and visitors.
