St. Mary’s Island Clean-Up Campaigns
The next two clean-ups on St. Mary’s Island will take place:
Tuesday 27th August from 9.30 am to 11.30 am on the east of the Island
Friday 27th September from 9.30 am to 11.30 am on the west of the Island
These will be starting from different locations so those interested in participating need to advise Living River Foundation which one they want to join so that Living River Foundation can let you know where to meet.
Pickers to collect the litter and surveyors to help record what is being collected are needed, all abilities welcome. They will be separating out hard plastics, particularly HDPE (high density polyethylene used in the production of plastic bottles and corrosion-resistant piping), which will be sent to make an exciting new addition to the marina to help with the litter that collects there.
Suitable clothing should be worn depending on weather conditions; don’t forget sunscreen/protection if the sun shines!
Email ">Living River Foundation to advise which one of the above you would like to attend.
