St. Mary’s Island Annual Rentcharge
The rentcharge invoices for the period 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022 have been mailed to residents. The rentcharge falls for due for payment on 1st April 2021 and should be settled within 21 days. The invoice pack contains all the details you need to know.
The 2021 RPI adjustment is 1.38% and from 2021 there is a new payment option to pay by Direct Debit in 10 equal monthly instalments.
Julian Perry, our Chief Executive, made the announcement as follows:
I am delighted to be able to inform you that from this year, Chatham Maritime Trust is offering a concession to all house owners on St Mary’s Island giving the opportunity to spread payment of their annual Rentcharge over ten equal monthly instalments via direct debit, at no additional cost.
Introduction of this concession is partly recognition of the financial strain imposed on many households by the Covid-19 pandemic and partly appreciating there is an increasing trend in the UK for regular household bills to be paid in this way.
A temporary postbox has been positioned outside St. Mary’s Island Community Centre for those who wish to hand deliver their rentcharge forms or any other correspondence to CMT whilst the office is closed due to Covid-19 lockdown. Please ensure correspondence is placed in the correct box – not the key box or through the Community Centre door.
