Remembrance services will be held across Medway to remember fallen servicemen and women on Sunday 10th November.
There will be parades and services taking place at:
Gillingham: by the Memorial at the top of Mill Lane outside Medway Park, parade starts at 10.30 am
Rainham: St. Margaret’s Church, service starts at 10.15 am
Rochester: Parade sets off at 10.25 am from Blue Boar Lane, passing the War Memorial before arriving at Rochester Cathedral just before 11 am ready for the service at 11 am
Chatham: Parade starts at Debenhams on the High Street, the ceremony is in Victoria Gardens at 10.20 am and 11.30 am
Timings are subject to change without warning.
Medway Council is offering free parking between 7 am and 3 pm at selected Medway car parks on Remembrance Sunday. These are:
Chatham: Rhode Street Car Park, James Street Car Park and Riverside Car Park.
Rainham: Cricketers Car Park
Rochester: Blue Boar Lane Car Park, Cathedral Car Park and Corporation Street Car Park
Gillingham: Medway Park
You will be able to leave your vehicle at one of the above car parks if the machine in the car park still has a fluorescent sign above it. Out side of the above-mentioned hours, you will need a valid pay and display ticket when the machine has been put back in service.
