The centre of the community
The Community Centre is the social hub of St Mary’s Island. Their direct telephone no. is 01634 890072.
This purpose built facility has multi purpose halls and a meeting room which can all be hired for events and groups.
The centre is the venue for many health and fitness groups including yoga, zumba, pilates and many more. Play groups and hobby groups including photography and a local history group also call the centre home.
Other community events are also held at the centre including the Christmas Fair and exhibitions.
The Community Centre website was updated in 2018 so that potential hirers can now view the calendar to see what’s on and vacant slots.
Halls
There are two halls a large hall that can hold 190 people and a small hall with a capacity of 60. The two can be combined for large events to create a single space with a capacity of 250.
Meeting Room
The centre houses an attractive meeting room with a large meeting table which can seat up to 20 people.

- Free tea & coffee
- Free WiFi

Improvements to the Community Centre door were made in August 2018 making it easier for access and egress.
