Peel Ports scheduled to do caisson works – Saturday 13th July

Peel Ports will be conducting remedial works to the caisson between Basins 2 and 3 on the evening of Saturday 13th July.  This work is likely to be noisy as it involves removal of the tarmac that sits on top of the caisson.

Work is scheduled to start at 6 pm and should be completed by 10 pm.  This is in preparation for a trial lift of the caisson on Sunday 14th July to ensure that the caisson flotation equipment remains operational in preparation for the visit of a Royal Naval ship later this year.  Details of the visit are still to be confirmed and will be notified to residents once confirmation has been received from the Royal Navy.
