MEASS Public Consultation is now open

Medway Estuary & Swale Coastal Flood & Erosion Risk Strategy.  Communities and landowners are currently facing flooding risk in low-lying areas around Swale and the Medway Estuary.  The Environment Agency has developed the Medway Estuary & Swale Strategy (MEASS) to manage the risks from the flood and coastal erosion over the next 100 years.  The strategy will cover the Medway Estuary, Medway Towns to Stoke, Gillingham, Conyer, Faversham and the Isle of Sheppey.

Have your say on the proposed flood and coastal risk management options.  The Environment Agency wants to get as many public responses as possible to the online consultation  which closes on the 5th February.  They will use the information from the consultation responses to help shape the strategy.  Click here for the online consultation.
