Young Dickens – Wigmore Lecture

Ian Porter leads this lecture and talks about Dickens’ early years before he found fame and how his Christmas stories became an annual Victorian event. So many of the things we now associate with Christmas sprang from him, not just A Christmas Carol but The Chimes and other stories too. Scrooge, Marley, Tiny tim and the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present will all be present.
The ticket price is £5.50 and includes seasonal refreshments. Tickets can be purchased at the library.
