Year of Engineering Film Festival

As part of the year of Engineering Film Festival, organised by Rochester Bridge Trust, the film ‘Hidden Figures’ (PG) is being shown. This is a film about three female African-American mathematicians providing crucial calculations for NASA’s space race against the Soviets whilst dealing with the racist and sexist assumptions of their white co-workers.
The film is being screened in the Wardroom, Pembroke Building at the University of Greenwich at Medway. Visitors should arrive at 4 pm for a 4.30 pm start. The Wardroom is upstairs in the Pembroke Building which is the first building on the right as you come onto the campus.
The Film Festival is an educational opportunity to celebrate some inspiring examples of engineering, science and team work needed to bring about change through engineering principles.
