Wigmore Lecture – Kent’s Ancient Sacred Landscape – Wednesday 18th January
January 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
This talk, delivered by Suzanne Corbie at Wigmore Library, will explore the pre-Christian landscape of Kent, including the Medway Megaliths, ancient trackways, Roman remains and our very own ‘Stonehenge’.
As well as revealing their historical use, Suzanne will consider how together, they form a window into a sacred landscape. One that offers a glimpse into the influences of sacred beliefs and practices in our country from the Neolithic to the Roman and early Anglo Saxons.
The talk takes place from 7.30 pm to 9 pm at a cost of £4.50. Wigmore Library is located at 208 Fairview Avenue, Gillingham ME8 0PX.
