The Historic Dockyard Chatham has two licensed wedding venues which can be used for a wedding and/or reception.  These two unique ceremony and memorable reception venues have the fantastic backdrop of the world’s most complete Dockyard from the age of sail.  The Commissioner’s House (1704) is Britain’s oldest naval building – stunning Georgian architecture and beautiful gardens.  HMS Gannet (1878) is a Victorian Sloop offering a unique setting for a ceremony and drinks on board.

On Sunday 12th August the Dockyard is offering an exclusive opportunity to view both venues; pre-booked appointments via the website allow you the opportunity to be privately shown on a 30 minute appointment around both venues.  Slots are available from 10 am to 2 pm; you can opt for a slot via the website.  You’ll end the visit with a glass of fizz and access to the garden which is a popular choice for photos.  You’ll leave with all the details you need in a wedding brochure, a complimentary Ropery wedding favour and discounted prices for both 2019 and 2020 which is only available to couples who pre-book an appointment for this date.  If you can’t make this date then don’t worry the Dockyard is holding another showcase event on Sunday 2nd September 2018.
