The Historic Dockyard hosts Vintage Portraiture Photography Workshop
March 7, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Historic Dockyard Chatham has introduced a short series of three photography workshops for 2020 and the second of these is a Vintage Portraiture photography workshop which takes place on Saturday 7th March. You’ll learn how to capture the best vintage photographs using models dressed in period costume with Victorian buildings and historic warships as backdrops and go behind the scenes to locations not open to the general public.
The workshop is led by experienced local photographer, Louise Hubbard. All levels of experience and knowledge of photography is welcomed with any type of camera – could be a top of the range DSLR or a phone. Attendees must be over 18 years of age and it should be noted that some locations are only accessible by stairs; there are also uneven surfaces so comfortable shoes are a must! The photographer has the authority to turn people away should they engage in any inappropriate behaviour whilst in the workshop.
Each workshop includes the following but spaces are limited so you’ll have to be quick to secure a place:
- 5-hour photography workshop (runs from 10 am to 3 pm)
- Expert, small group, tuition from Louise Hubbard
- entry to The Historic Dockyard Chatham – a chance to explore the area after the workshop
- Lunch (one main meal and one drink)
The cost of the workshop is £150. To find out more and to book a place click here.
Auditions are being held at the Historic Dockyard for actors/models of all ages over 18, any gender, to take part in this workshop. Auditions will be held from the 6th to 19th January 2020. If you are interested, then email ">Louise Hubbard
