Sweeps Festival 29th April to 1st May

A three day event with hundreds of Morris dancers taking to the historic streets of Rochester clattering their clogs and clashing their sticks in impressive displays. Throughout the festival there will be different genres of music in many locations.
The traditional opening ceremony takes place outside the Guildhall Museum on Saturday 29th April at 10.45 am.
On Monday 1st May there is the Sweeps Festival Parade at 2.45 pm; it forms at Star Hill end of the High Street and makes its way to Rochester Castle gardens.
The event includes performances, artisan produce, music, funfair rides and more.
