Strood Fire Station Open Day

Strood Fire Station are hosting a fun and FREE Family open Day at their Strood Station from 11 am to 3 pm.
Families and friends can enjoy meeting the crews and taking part in fun-filled activities, fire and road safety experiences.
Children will be able to pick up a free activity trail card before exploring four new designated zones. Get a stamp in each zone as you complete it and at the end walk through and take part in a range of exciting and educational activities. Community Safety Officers will be on hand with the opportunity to find out more about Safe and Well visits and other services provided by KRFS.
There are four zones:
Create zone: Take part in hands-on creative activities / visit the colouring-in station / take a selfie with one of the firefighters and Byrnes Family photo-boards / meet KFRS Control Operators and learn how to dial 999 in an emergency / face painting and much more!
Wellbeing zone: learn how to treat burns and scolds / find out more about KRFS free Safe and Well visits / learn how to Stop, Drop and Roll and a lot more.
Active zone: Discover how to use a real firefighter’s hose / explore real fire engines / watch live firefighter demonstrations and more.
Food zone: refreshments including ice creams, cakes and hot food will be available.
Please be aware that there is no parking at the Fire Station on any of the Open Days.
