Sticks ‘n’ Stones Wellbeing Festival

Sticks ‘n’ Stones Wellbeing Festival takes place at the Belvedere Lawn at Fort Amherst on Saturday 13th July from 11 am to 6 pm. This is a FREE event. It is aimed at young people aged 11-21 to provide them with tools to develop their communication, wellbeing, healthy living and mindfulness and there will be lots of activities for them to engage in.
This event is aimed at young people and delivers a space to discover new ways of dealing with issues such as mental health, sexuality, gang culture, careers advice etc. It is also an opportunity for positive role models to promote their services and projects and recruit new members. There will be onsite support and resources available for young people to have one to one sessions and get referrals to wider organisations. Go along and enjoy workshops and performances designed to motivate and inspire. Workshops include:
- Meditation workshops with Stable House Meditation and Jag meditation
- DJ workshop
- Acting workshop and interactive storytelling events with Parlour Plays
- Creativity workshop with Fun With Words
- Street soccer football workshop
- Boxing workshop with Olympia Boxing CIC
There will also be stalls with information on local services and charities, including Kent Fire & Rescue Service, Corps of Royal Engineers, Medway MHS Foundation Trust, Royal British Legion Industries and Kent Police.
