Rochester Ghosts, Murders & Secrets Guided Tour

February 28, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Discover the dark side of Rochester.  Old cities like Rochester have histories going back thousands of years and with the history comes a few stories…. some rather unnerving!  This takes place on Friday 28th February from 7 pm to 9.30 pm.

This is a walking tour of all the best tales of ghosts, murders and secrets around what Dickens described as ‘drowsy old city centre’.  On the tour you’ll find out about the murder which shaped Rochester we see today, a once-in-a-lifetime ghostly appearance in the castle moat, the Kingly secret of a very plain house in the High Street, the link between a modern murder and a medieval spirit, one of the most gruesome executions in English History and one of the most disturbing demonic happenings in the county.

The walk is suitable for all ages but it should be noted that the content is intended for an adult audience.  It is recommended that you take a small LED torch as some areas of Rochester are ‘olde worlde’ so be careful where you tread.

The cost of the walk is £7 per person and there are NO hidden ‘extras’.  This is a 2-hour guided walk with an experienced and highly knowledgeable guide.  You can book up to 5 tickets per booking.  The walk will go ahead regardless of weather.  To book click here.

The meeting point for the walk is by the old tree outside Rochester Cathedral.

For details of other walks check out the website.
