New Free Exhibition at Medway Archives Centre

‘Medway Queen: beside the seaside’ is an exhibition by the Medway Queen Preservation Society that takes place from 7th June to Tuesday 26th July 2022.
The ship’s story is brought to life through photographs from 1924 to the evacuation of Dunkirk. After the war the vessel returned to operating leisure routes and excursions across the Thames Estuary.
The Medway Queen was taken out of service in 1963 and became a nightclub and returned to Medway in 2013. The dedicated volunteers at the Medway Queen Preservation Society look after her now and welcome visitors on board.
The exhibition is hosted by Medway Archives Centre, 32 Bryant Road, Strood ME2 3EP. The venue is open 9 am to 5 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturday it opens 9 am to midday but is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
