Neil Arnold: The Ghosts of Rochester

November 21, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This is the second talk in the programme of Wigmore Lectures.  Local author Neil Arnold reveals an array of ghoulish tales and legends from phantom monks and haunted pubs to spectral sheep and the ghost of Dickens himself. The historic city of Rochester has had long associations with author Charles Dickens, who wrote ghost stories, the most famous being A Christmas Carol.  It will never be known if Dickens based any of his stories on the spooks said to haunt Rochester.

The talk takes place at 8pm at Wigmore Library, 208 Fairview Avenue, Wigmore, Gillingham ME8 OPX.

Individual lectures cost £4 each (except for the Christmas talk which is £5 including seasonal refreshments).  Tickets can be booked at any Medway library or by calling 01634 337799.
