Medway Park to host Premier Wheelchair Rugby League Grand Final
September 22, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
International players will return to Medway Park for the climax of the domestic wheelchair rugby league season. Medway Park will host the Premier League Grand Final on Saturday 22nd September when Halifax take on Leeds Rhinos in a winner-takes-all clash.
The event includes some world class players, including many England players who may form part of the national squad which is currently building towards the 2021 Rugby League World Cup which is being held in England. Medway Council has applied to host the venue for the Rugby League World Cup wheelchair competition in 2021 and has got through to the second stage of the bidding process.
This year’s event will feature a new Minor Premiers Festival. This is a brand new event allowing players from the South League, Championship & Championship 1 league winners to test themselves in some short games in the big arena in front of a good crowd.
This is an opportunity to watch international players competing on your doorstep. Tickets cost £5 for adults, £2 for children or a family ticket (2 adults and up to 4 children) costs £12. To book call 01634 336655 or visit the website.
Tickets will also be available on the door and are valid for the Minor Premiers Festival and the Grand Final match, which begins at 6 pm.
