Medway Health Walk – St. Mary’s Island

January 13, 2020 @ 10:15 am - 11:15 am

Medway Health Walks suit all abilities and levels of fitness.

These social walks are led by trained Volunteer Walk Leaders. The walks are organized to support people to get the most enjoyment out of walking. Walking is a low impact form of exercise and suitable for all ages and abilities and dogs on leads are welcomed. It is also a cheap way to exercise. All that you need is a comfortable pair of shoes and suitable clothing.

Walk and collect goodies. Bags, water bottles, T-shirts and pedometers are given away once you achieve a certain amount of walks.

The walk around St. Mary’s Island takes place on Mondays at 10.15 am; the meeting point is outside the Ship & Trades Public House.  The walk takes in the view of Upnor Castle and the River Medway and takes about an hour.

This walk also takes place on the 13th, 20th and 27th January 2020.
Walks may be cancelled on the day by the Walk Leaders if they think it is too dangerous due to weather conditions. If you are interested in becoming a Medway Health Walk Volunteer call 01634 333727 or email ">.
