Medway Culture Club Carnival

Saturday, 8 August, 12noon to 5pm, Royal Engineers Museum, Gillingham.
Medway Culture Club is inviting residents from across Kent and beyond to its sixth annual Community Carnival, promising an afternoon packed with live entertainment, cultural experiences and family fun at the Royal Engineers Museum in Gillingham.
The free community event will be celebrating the diversity that makes Medway unique, this year’s Carnival will feature an exciting programme of performances, activities and interactive experiences, including:
- A colourful carnival parade to open the celebrations
- Live music and performances throughout the day
- Authentic Caribbean sounds from Intention Studio
- Steel pan performances and have a go lessons
- Carnival dancers and cultural performances
- A cultural food corner
- Arts, crafts and creative activities for children
- Face painting
- Community stalls highlighting local organisations and services
- A family favourite limbo competition
- Games and activities for all ages
Founded in 2020, Medway Culture Club is a multicultural charity dedicated to inspiring change through cultural unity. Through workshops, events and educational programmes, the charity has engaged thousands of children, young people and families, creating opportunities to learn about different cultures while strengthening community connections.
