Medway 10k Run

The Medway 10k run is part of the Medway Festival of Sport and takes place at Medway Park, Gillingham ME7 1HF on Sunday 2nd June at 9 am.
The race attracts runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes to those new to running. The run will raise money for the designated charity – Wisdom Hospice – and runners are encouraged to raise money to help the Hospice through sponsorship. this one lap 10k course runs along roads and parkland, starting and finishing on the athletics track at Medway Park. The route will be clearly marked and marshalled and some roads will be closed to traffic. There will be two drinking stations at around 3km and 6 km. Note that due to the race having sections on open roads, headphones are not permitted.
The race is chip-timed and medals awarded to all finishers. Prizes will be awarded to the leading runners, age category winners and first male and female UKA affiliated team. This is intended to be a family event and as well as the 10k race, there are children’s races around the athletics track.
Individual times and positions will be posted on the website as soon as possible after the race.
