FREE Talk – The Flowers of Srebrenica – Saturday 11th February 2.30-3.3.0 pm

February 11 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Join this free talk at Chatham Library & Community Hub with Author Aidan Hehir and Illustrator David Frankum, as they discuss their highly acclaimed book, The Flowers of Srebrenica.

The Flowers of Srebrenica is about a journey to Srebrenica (Bosnia). It is a story about memory, about how people’s experiences have power, how places where tragedies occurred also still have power, and about how the real can be felt in a way which makes the fake look as tawdry as it truly is.

Aidan Hehir is a Reader in International Relations at the University of Westminster and the author/editor of ten books. He lives with his family in Gillingham, England and occasionally writes poetry, prose and plays. This is his first non-academic book.

David Frankum’s illustration and design work can be found in a variety of publications, including books, magazines, comics and album covers; he has exhibited his work in renowned galleries and museums. He is currently the Art Specialist at Luton Primary School.

Suitable for 14 years and above.  To book your FREE space click here.
