Food on the Field

The Kent Agricultural Society is launching a new event – Food on the Field which will take place on Saturday 5th September at Kent Showground, Detling, near Maidstone. This event will enable visitors to sample the best of Kent’s restaurants and eateries showcasing the county’s top food and drink establishments.
Two-time winners of the Taste of Kent Awards, the Butchers Block and Silver winners of the Independent English Wine Awards, Meopham Valley Vineyards, have already confirmed their participation. Each restaurant will have a selection of their signature dishes in taster size and the event will feature a farmer’s market for visitors to buy local produce. With such variety on offer there will be something for all tastes.
The event will open for 2 sessions, one between noon and 4 pm and the other from 5 pm to 9 pm.
