First Annual Conference for Kent & Medway Museums

The first annual conference for Kent and Medway museums, organized by the Kent Medway NPO museum partnership and the South East Museum Development programme, takes place on Monday 24th February 2929 from 10.30 am to 16.30 at The Fitted Rigging House in the Historic Dockyard chatham.
This is a one-day conference and is for staff and volunteers working in museums in Kent and Medway who would like to find out more about how to engage and develop wider audiences.
Speakers will cover topics such as how to:
- measure and demonstrate impact
- improve the visitor experience on a budget
- be more inclusive and accessible
- use collections in new digital ways
- support community health and wellbeing
- work with schools and young people
There will also be the opportunity to hear local case studies, network with other museums and find out more about what’s going on in the wider Kent community.

Admission details: The conference is free with lunch included, any special dietary requirements should be advised by 14th February. The organisers are looking into the provision of a free minibus to pick up attendees from a location in South Kent and East Kent.
