Fictional Detectives in Books, Film & TV

This session explore the nature of the fictional detective in books, tv and film.   It will look at the reasons for the popularity of detective fiction and how it was developed over the years.

  • Why do Sherlock, Morse and Poirot continue to be so popular?
  • Do you enjoy crime drama?

This event is open to adults and takes place at Gillingham Library, High Street, Gillingham ME7 1BG from 6 pm to 8 pm.  The session will consider the psychology of premeditated murder and discuss the appeal of detective fiction and the fascination with violent crime.

To attend this session booking is essential and this can be done directly with the University of Kent.
