Dementia Cafe at The Historic Dockyard

The Dementia Cafe takes place on the second Monday of every month in the Mess Deck Restaurant in the Historic Dockyard. After this one, the next sessions is due to take place on the 11th March 2024. The dockyard site will be closed to the public but the Cafe will continue.
Join for tea, cake, singalongs and a friendly chat, 1pm – 3pm.
The monthly Dementia Café is a comfortable, social gathering that allows people experiencing memory loss and a loved one or a carer to connect, socialise, and build new support networks. The Café is free to attend (you do not need a ticket for the Historic Dockyard) and all are welcome.
They will provide tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake and the friendly staff will lead groups singing sessions as well as the opportunity to learn more and handle objects from their collections. On occasions they will also have guest speakers talk about stories connected to the Historic Dockyard.
