Crime Author visits Gillingham Library

August 29, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Crime author, Stephen Booth, international best seller and acclaimed writer of the Cooper and Fry series, will visit Gillingham Library on Thursday 29th August from 7.30 pm to 9 pm to talk about his latest book ‘Drowned Lives’ and is the story about buried family secrets and a centuries-old feud, against a background of a canal restoration project.  It was partly inspired by a current scheme being carried out by the Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust to restore seven miles of waterway linking the Coventry Canal to the Birmingham Canal Navigations.  It is very much about how the past affects the present and discovering who we are through being forced to confront our past.

This is a chance to find out about the man behind the words.

This is a FREE event but booking is essential; to book a place call 01634 337799.
