Chatham Historic Dockyard opens its doors for free

As part of its 400th anniversary the Historic Dockyard Chatham is opening its doors for free on Saturday 16th June to give visitors a taste of the ward-winning visitor attraction . Find out what goes on beyond the Dockyard wall. This includes 80 acres of adventure and visitors will have the opportunity to visit the newly redesigned Steam, Steel & Submarines gallery which tells the stories of the Dockyard through the 19th and 20th centuries.
In addition to this, The Historic Dockyard is hosting the 2018 River Festival, organised by Medway Council. The River Festival will include fun activities and displays on the river and on the land. There will be performances by professional community dancers and performers along with opportunities to get involved in dance workshops; this will take place near Commissioner’s House.
