Changeling Theatre comes to Rochester Cathedral

The Changeling Theatre brings Nell Gwynn – a smash hit musical comedy to Rochester Cathedra gardens on Thursday 15th August from 19.30 to 22.30.

Kent’s only outdoor touring company will perform Nell Gwynn.  The organization provides high quality entertaining theatre in non-traditional locations for community audiences across South East England.

London, 1660, King Charles II has exploded onto the scene with the love of all things loud, extravagant and sexy.  At Drury Lane a young Nell Gwynn is causing stirrings amongst the theatregoers.  Nell Gwynne charts the rise of an unlikely heroine, from her roots in Coal Yard Alley to her success as Britain’s most celebrated actress, and her hard won place in the heart of the King.  But at a time when women were considered second class citizens, can her charm and spirit protect her from the dangers of the court?
