Burns Night

Burns Night is an annual celebration and commemorates the life of the bard (poet) Robert Burns.
People celebrate nationwide with traditional Scottish fare – haggis (a mix of sheep’s offal, spices and oats), scotch whisky and renditions of Burn’s poetry.
He penned more than 550 poems and songs before his death of rheumatic fever in 1796 at the young age of 37.
