Boat In The Woods: Wednesday Talk at The Historic Dockyard
November 16, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

As part of their Wednesday Talks Programme, the Dockyard’s Heritage Engineering and Historic Ships Manager, James Morgan, shares the story of the 27-foot Royal Navy Cutter, built in Bombay Royal Dockyard (now Mumbai) in 1911.
Powered by oar, sail or engine, naval cutters were used as ship’s boats to carry passengers, stores or as a lifeboat. The design is based on a traditional boat originating in Deal, Kent. James will be giving updates regarding the ongoing work taking place on the boat.
This talk takes place on Wednesday 16th November in the Mess Deck Lecture Room at 2 pm. The talk lasts for 60 minutes.
Tickets for this talk can booked on arrival at the Dockyard. An admission ticket to the Dockyard is required to access the talk.
