Community Centre planning for re-opening in line with Government Roadmap
We trust this update finds you and your families safe and well. We are certain, like us, you absolutely welcomed the new Government roadmap outlined recently, which undoubtedly presented some positive news at last.
We at the community centre and CMT are working behind the scenes to plan the phased re-opening of the centre. We will review closely the steps set out within the roadmap and will follow this guidance. We will of course strongly consider our own risk assessment and amend if necessary. The continued safety and welfare of our staff, hirers and facility remain the priority in this process. Subject to the successful arrival of each step, we will strictly follow the rules set out, however, we will only align completely if we feel it is safe to do so, it remains the decision of CMT if it is deemed necessary to delay larger groups or social events to a later date.
Our priority is to welcome back our regular groups and hirers who are permitted. With Step 1 underway which sees the return of children to school, we are working towards Step 2, which will allow us to open our doors for ‘children’s activities’ and ‘parent and toddler groups’ from w/c 12th April. This comes in time for the start of school Term 5 on 19th April.
We will of course need to wait on government confirmation a week prior to this, that Step 1 has been successful and that we can move on to Step 2. If this is the case then we very much look forward to seeing the return of applicable groups from Monday 12th April.
We will continue to follow each step change and update accordingly. Any private one-off bookings for events and functions will be taken on a strictly provisional basis and subject to review nearer the time.
The community centre office will have minimal opening hours, with staff working reduced hours, however all contact and communications will be responded to.
