Chatham Maritime Trust was the winner of the highly prestigious 2007 Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ Property Management Award for “Strategy & Delivery – Public Sector”
This Award recognised, in the words of the judging panel, that “the Trust has proved an effective and responsible estate manager, and offers a community-centred model that will be of interest to other large-scale urban developments”, and that ten years on from its launch, the Trust had demonstrated the successful implementation of the strategy.
Trustees and staff, along with guests including the local MP Paul Clark, and Medway Council Chief Executive Neil Davies, attended the award ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in London’s Park Lane on 15th June 2007.
In winning the Award, the Trust succeeded against competition from Defence Estates, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and King Sturge LLP - all much larger organisations.
