Chatham Maritime is home to a thriving and mixed community

Chatham Maritime is home to the secluded residential development of St Mary’s Island, to the students of the Universities of Medway, to the many businesses based on the Estate, and to the thousands of visitors who come to the retail and leisure attractions.

In addition to this, a new residential community will soon be growing on the South Maritime Estate, as the Chatham Quays scheme starts to attract purchasers, and plans to develop the “Interface Land” on the boundary to the Historic Dockyard were reviewed in 2010 after earlier proposals stalled.  

Chatham Maritime has many commercial leisure attractions – Dickens World|, the Dockside Outlet Centre|, Chatham Maritime Marina|, and the Odeon Cinema |among them.
